easy digital downloads allow users to view sales reports on frontend

Store owners are always willing to see their sales reports. For this you could print their sales reports each time they ask you to. But imagine they want to see their download sales reports weekly. In that case, you may want to give them access to the reports from the frontend. And that’s why we wrote this tutorial.

We want to show you how to allow users to view the sales reports on the frontend in just some seconds. It’s really simple and you don’t have to program anything. We’ll use the WP Frontend Admin plugin. It allows you to view and edit any frontend page on the frontend.

Once installed and activated, you need to follow some simple steps:

1- Open the EDD reports

The first thing you need is to open the EDD reports. It’s really simple; just go to Downloads > Reports.

2- View the EDD reports on the frontend

WP Frontend Admin makes it really simple to display the EDD reports on a frontend page. You only need to click on View on the frontend, and the plugin will instantly display the reports on a frontend page.

3- Configure and publish the reports page

The plugin will display a left side panel so that you select the basics of the page such as the title, slug, template and menu. Normally, we add the pages to the Primary Menu but in fact you decide which menu you’ll add it to.

Something great about this plugin is that you can hide all unnecessary elements in order to give your users a simplified experience. For this you just need to click on Hide element and then click on the elements you want to hide.

These are some elements we recommend you to hide:

  • Easy Digital Downloads Reports header
  • Screen Options
  • Help
  • Export
  • Logs

After configuring the page’s quick settings and hiding all the unnecessary elements, just click on Save to publish the page.

4- See your reports on the frontend

Now you’ll just need to visit the page and log in to view your EDD reports on the frontend.

After logging in, you’ll see your reports on the frontend.

Did you ever imagine how easy it was? You just need one click and some minutes to configure your new frontend page.

Yes. You can display any admin page on the frontend, and it works with all WordPress plugins.

2- Is the plugin compatible with page builders?

Yes. You can use it with other page builders such as Elementor, Visual Composer, Gutenberg, Divi, Beaver Builder, WP Page Builder, Page Builder by SiteOrigin, Oxygen, Live Composer, Brizy, and many others to create great sites.

3- What if I cannot see this page on the frontend after login?

If you can not view the page after log in, you need to use one of these roles:
