WordPress – Create and Manage Users from the Frontend

wordpress create and manage users from the frontend

If you are a programmer and a client has asked you to create a platform on which they can manage their users, this article is for you. It is important if you have been asked to create a customer or user data base that can be easily edited from the frontend without having to deal with wp-admin.

If you’re not a professional programmer and are just looking for a way to create your own customer or user data base on the frontend without having to pay large amounts of money or wait for weeks, you’re in the right place. We want to show you how to do it without even basic programming.

For this we will use the WP Frontend Admin plugin. This powerful tool helps you view and edit any wp-admin page in the frontend with a few steps.

You can try the premium plugin on your website for free for 7 days.

Once installed and activated, please follow these simple steps.

1- Open the Users section

This is the first step. You need to go to Users in wp-admin in order to open the users section.

2- View it on the frontend

Now just click on View it on the frontend to see your users’ page on the frontend. It’s that simple. You don’t have to program anything.

3- Configure and publish your users page

Once you display your Users page on the frontend, you need to configure the new page. Of course this is not difficult. The plugin will display a Quick Settings panel on the left side of the screen; in this panel you can select the page’s title, URL slug, template, and menu.

A) Configure the user list

We know that there are some unnecessary elements that we sometimes don’t want the frontend page to display. Once again, this is really simple because you just have to click on Hide element and then click on the elements you want to hide. That way you can customize your page’s appearance.

These are some elements you may want to hide:

  • The Users text
  • If you have the Users Spreadsheet plugin installed, you can hide the Edit in a Spreadsheet plugin.
  • Screen Options
  • Help
  • Etc.

B) Configure the User form

You can also edit the User Form appearance. For this, you can click on Add New, and then click on the Hide element button and click on the element you want to hide.

Here you can hide any user fields added by other plugins if you don’t want them to be displayed.

Once you’re done configuring the users list and form, you just need to click on Save to publish the page.

4- Manage users from the frontend

Once published, the page will require users to log in to see and manage the users.

Once logged in, you and your users will be able to manage/apply any change to your users from the frontend.

With WP Frontend Admin you can see/edit any frontend page from the frontend. It’s so simple and without any codes.

important questions

1- Can I use other plugins to create web apps?

Yes. You can display any admin page on the frontend, and it works with all WordPress plugins.

2- Is the plugin compatible with page builders?

Yes. You can use it with other page builders such as Elementor, Visual Composer, Gutenberg, Divi, Beaver Builder, WP Page Builder, Page Builder by SiteOrigin, Oxygen, Live Composer, Brizy, and many others to create great sites.

3- What if I cannot see this page on the frontend after login?

If you can not view the page after log in, you need to use one of these roles:

  • administrator
  • author
  • shop_manager

In case you don’t want to assign one of these roles, you can create a new user role with the User Role Editor plugin. This new user role needs the list_users capability.

4- How many elements can I hide?

You can hide all elements you want. It all depends on what you need.

Just be careful not to hide elements you might need in the future.

5- What if I want to revert the elements I’ve hidden?

You can revert that. Just click on Revert below the Hide element button.
